Project Hope & Fairness founded by Tom Neuhaus in 2006, helps local people in the West African countries of Cameroon, Ghana, and Côte d’Ivoire turn low value cacao beans into high value chocolate. The approach was adopted by Neuhaus to provide an alternative to the current problematic production of cacao. Mongabay published an interview with Neuhaus on what got him into the production of cacao and Project Hope & Fairness’ mission and approach. Check out the short documentary HERE.
